The geese are flying this morning, the sky keeps changing
but I just had to go to the allotment!
The stepping stones make it possible
to check out the whole garden!
The first corn harvest is in!
After what all the birds and other creatures have eaten this
is what remains! Not bad for the first year! I'm thankful
that we don't have to live from only what we grow.
Tonight we eat hot buttered corn!
But first a Marmite sandwich!

It stopped raining long enough to take a photo !
As soon as it stopped it started again!
Don't have to worry about watering the plants!
For days or even weeks!
Perfect weather to enjoy a warm, hearty meal of
boiled potatoes and zucchini from the allotment.
Then the rain subsided and it was time
to go check out the allotment!
Didn't reach my plot with this path!

So I tried the other path that goes around the back.
The water came up to my boots as I cycled through it!
Rounding the corner, there was a small, higher patch
of ground across from my allotment!
Yes, this is it!
Those stringy things are leeks!
The edge of the path is under water!
Zoomed in for a close up! Didn't dare walk in!
My walking boots are not rubber boots!
I think pumpkins are waterproof

Then, as I was leaving..
I spotted a dragonfly.

Back home for tea!

Yesterday the weatherman said that we
would get a lot of rain the coming 32 hours.
By 11 am. this morning!
Yes, I did empty it last night!
A perfect day to curl up with a good Laptop
and dream of next years gardens!

How To Make Concrete Rhubarb Leaves For Decor

I was searching the web to find out how to make Concrete Rhubarb leaves. After reading a few written instructions on different websites I came across this fun guide on Youtube! Will be giving it a go soon! I can't wait until winter to try this as there will be no leaves!

With a few free hours on a sunny afternoon I thought I would cycle over to Hilversum to check out their Kringloop Winkel ( secondhand store). The cycle path is along the Zandheuvelweg.
It's a 10 km cycle ride from door to door.
Most of it along a nature area.
I had to take a closer look!
The Heather is starting to bloom!

What's fun is that you never know what you'll find!
A great book!
Then a box of tiles, a Delfts Blue vase, an Italian vase
and a few garden tools soon were in the bike bags!
This newspaper was in the bottom of the box under the tiles!
Dated Saturday 28 November 1998, it's about an attatchment
for carrying your cell phone on your bike handle bars.
Notice the size of the phone?
Winter's coming and creative projects will be started!
These tiles will be combined with other tiles to make
a Moorish inspired arched wall decoration!
Then I stopped in at a garden centre.
Clearance sales are just as fun!
A window sticker for the shed window!

Remember this plant?
This was about seven weeks ago.
Six weeks ago it was divided into 8!
Now they're looking better and
will be on their way back to class!

An afternoon stroll through old Deventer
included a cloister garden
to enjoy
and characteristic streets
where new meets old!
Don't forget to look up!
