Spring is on the way

Ready for filling with annuals

Another week with temperatures around freezing! There is still plenty of time to get on with that list. But who wants to walk around Den Haag when it is this cold? But wait! Starting 9 February at the IMAX Omniversum(http://www.omniversum.nl/) is a film about the life of Van Gogh. This film will take the viewer along the landscapes that have inspired him and will present the life of Van Gogh in a special light . Combining this with a walk around the Embassy neighbourhood will be a nice day out!

Other things that have happened:

-I now know that those cement things to be used in a garden

design are called u-elements!

-The bathroom has been tiled! Another step closer the walk in shower!

-The backyard has been spruced up. It is ready for those summer

flowers that were ordered last year!

-The quilt? Let's just say it is still on the WIP list!

We are ready for spring!

January is a great month to get busy
with that " to do " list.
New passports, a trip to the Canadian Embassy
in Den Haag, start a quilt and renovating
the bathroom are now all on that list.
This is also the time to design the garden
for the coming year. Where will all the annuals go?
Which photo's will look good,
if enlarged and printed on linnen, hanging outside?

What colour should we paint the wall? Yellow or blue?
Only 9 days left in January!
I guess most of these activities will go on the
WIP (work in progress) and UFO (unfinished object) list!

Living in a country that has
four seasons is exciting.
There is always something
new to see and experience.

Today I started a blog so that I can share with you, friends and family, my love of gardening and other creative adventures. I will try to add photo's and thoughts regularly.

Ik heb een blog begonnen om met jullie mijn hobby over tuinieren en andere creative activiteiten te delen.
