Every now and again there goes a balloon!
Up and away!
25C at 5 pm. Painting in the shade!
The Hosta's are in their places!
Let it rain, let it rain, let it rain!
In the evening/night, that is!

19C and 9 pm! Dry conditions. No campfires at Buitenzorg. Fence painted. Cement walls too. Just have to get the gray cement paint to finish of the look! Now it's the quiet before the storm. Weekend weather is rain and cooler temps! So necessary for all the gardens and plants. Could be a weekend to dust off the sewing machine and get that quilt block of April sewn together and the embroidery started. Seems like May's Block of the Month is just around the corner! That's how dry April has been! Weeding, gardening and painting!

22C, a light breeze and no direct sun.
Doors and windows open, wash hanging.
Perfect painting outside weather this afternoon!
Just getting into the swing of things
and then I ran out of paint.
Will have to run to the store for more!

Europes biggest Orchid en Butterfly Garden
in Luttelgeest yesterday.
A tropical paradise.
A place to celebrate...
10 years living in The Netherlands
and 8 years married!
a great place for two people
that share photography as a hobby!

The Butterfly Valley
The biggest in Europe
Tropical Buuterflies everywhere!
Well worth the trip!
Morpho Butterfly
The Morpho Butterfly doesn't like nectar from flowers
but prefers to feed on the juice from rotting fruit.
When it is flying you see the bright blue wings.
They are very energetic. Very hard to get on film!
When resting, you see only the brown eyed side.
This damaged butterfly gives you an idea of the colour!

Quite a few food tables for the butterflies!
Let's see how close I can get.
This is the real thing!
Didn't even adjust the photo!
Camera's, how they advance over the years.

A Monarch Butterfly brings back Mexican memories.
There is also a lot of old farm machinery and things to see.
Thought about fixing this one up!
Good idea?
Someone there is creative!
Check the door before you leave!
This one almost got away!

Another frosty morning!
Paper, garden waste and now plastic recycling!
A new plant voor the garden!
Easily self seeds so next summer
there should be a whole lot more!

Spring Days!
Daffodils are still in bloom
Always a surprise in a mixed bag of bulbs!
A touch of blue

I took the train to Limburg this weekend. It's almost an international journey! I changed trains in Utrecht then went via 'S-Hertogenbosch and Eindhoven. After 10 years, - 1 week, of living here it's getting easier to pick out the different accents from other parts of The Netherlands!
I had a few minutes to walk around in Roermond
before the last leg of my journey!
Being a volunteer at Scout Centre Buitenzorg I get the chance to meet other active Scout-minded people. The volunteers are from all corners of The Netherlands. This weekend I went to visit friends in Beesel. They have a garden and would like a bit of help! Sure!
The sun rises and the ground is covered in frost.
This is the view over a famer's field.
Stinging Nettle

Lots to see in the early hours of the day!
The frosty view to the bottom of the garden
