This morning, a snowball is all that remains.

Our street is safe to travel! Ice gone!

Our street was the worst in the area.

But wait! There is more snow on the way.

We made it out of our icy street Saturday and headed to Karwei (DIY store) for Boxing Day sales. A lot of creative people were already there! Shopping wagons filled with wallpaper, floor coverings, bathroom units(brings back memories from last year's sale) and paint were lined up by the tils. We joined in the fun! Once home I started to Change "October" into...

..."Spring".
One weekend and 5 liters of paint later!
What a difference!

The Nativity Scene Route in Baarn is a growing tradition.
This is the 14th year with 60 participating scenes in the route.

They are lit up daily until 11 pm.

The "Way of the Light" can be enjoyed until 1 January 2010!

I've seen a few on the walks to and from Buitenzorg.

There is still time to admire them at night !

Every evening, starting from today, will be the trusty voice of Mr. Owl: "and then off to your warm nests..and don't forget, eyes closed and beaks too." from the T.V. program Fabeltjeskrant. This sieries ran from 1968 to 1974.

Snow! Weather warnings! But just had to check the allotment!
All gardens look the same covered with snow!
Doesn't matter how much work one does!
The same goes for cars and traffic jams.
Doesn't matter what make or model,
we're all in it together!
Isn't it pretty!

Then back home.

Might have to get the snow shovel out of the museum!

Haven't used it since we moved here! 5 years!
