Such lovely colours in the Autumn. Today, and the coming week will be fine weather to work ouside. Lots to do in the Fall!
The weekend was busy at Buitenzorg!
A lot of planting around the Fruit Circle.
Wait until Spring!
Sounds like birds and butterflies
and bees will be attracted to this area!
The totempole is looking good!
Went to see the allotment! It rained a lot the last weeks! It is always good to know the ground conditions before designing the garden! This months issue of Gardener's World has great tips for boggy and waterlogged soil! Will be a beautiful place!

Santorini, Thursday 29 October
Just a few more photo's to share.
Lasting memories are always available!
So many different images
from the top of what was formed by a volcano.

Look what I spotted in the wall somewhere in Greece!
Small spaces? Use only half a table and cair...
... or half a flower pot!
We stopped in at Crete's Natural History Museum.
But this Date Palm, loaded with fresh dates,
was in Alexandria! Sorry, didn't have any
gardening tools or climbing ability
to pick a few to try!

Egypt was an idea. Now lunch on
the Nile is a great memory!
Tasted great, all the Egyptian salads,
fresh flat breads and sweet desserts!
There was whirling entertainment
and we had a few moments to enjoy
the warmth and view of the Nile by Cairo.
The Nile must be fairly clean!

Vacation plans?
How do you combine the Sea Scout in Peter...
...with the Land Scout in Joanne?
This is the solution!
We had a room
With a view!

Highlights included this...
..and this
...the sun setting over Cairo
...and this, in Ephesus, was a library.
Even this, a butterfly, between Egypt and Crete
out in the Mediterranean Sea!

...and there was a lot of art and inspiration on board

One of the highlights was a stop at Santorini!
We took a tender boat to the island and then had
the option of taking the cable car, riding on a donkey
or walking up the 580 steps to Fira.
11 km NW of Fira lies Oia. This is the ideal Greece.
The image, the one most people think of when the word
Greece comes up. My ideal! I couldn't get enough of it!
Perfect walking weather!
The views, amazing!
