Today through to Sunday, at SoestDijk, is the Sweet Pea display from the Sweet Pea Association. The one green house on site is filled with the fragrant flowers for the competition. With the warm weather that we hare having today and for the coming weekend I hope that the fragile flowers won't wilt!
This is a view of the building that has been the home of Queen Juliana and Prince Bernard until just a few short years ago when she passed away. It is now a museum.
There was a guided tour hosted by Groei & Bloei Baarn at 1 pm. We walked around the pond/lake and saw many of the old trees that are a part of the landscape's history. This an old Catalpa tree. See how it manages to grow and produce more branches. Mother nature is strong!
There are other flowers to see in and around the green house!
Large Gerbera's......
and Cacti!
