What a treasure! Finding a cast iron antique gate at a rummage sale or a second hand store for next to nothing is super! A great addition to the garden as a climbing rack for plants. How about Sweet Peas? or large flowering Climatis? Ivy is a big no no! That would soon take over and there would be nothing left to see of the frame. Maybe splitting the frame in half down the middle and placing the two sides along the two pergola poles by the entrance to the garden? There would have to be two long flower boxes full with summer flowers at the base of each! How about painting the gate with hammerite paint? Give it a colour?

There was no gate at a rummage sale or
the local second hand store!
There was a head board at Ikea!
What a great find!
